2017 Nissan Rogue – Fuel Economy Review + Fill Up Costs

In this episode, we test drive the all new 2017 Nissan Rogue. The Rogue offers a third option for buyers looking to stray away from the aging RAV4 and the common CR-V, bu still want the reliability and resale of a Japanese automobile. The 2017 Rogue comes with a refreshed and restyled exterior with a bold grille, front headlamps, and rear taillights – among other updates.

Our test model featured a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine coupled to a fuel efficient Continuously Variable Transmission. Horsepower and torque is rated at 170hp and 175 lb-ft respectively (watch the video for further details). Our real-world fuel range as-tested is 465km (283 miles) on a tank of fuel. For every one liter of fuel, we are able to drive 8.3 kilometers. Watch the video below for the complete review.

After using up almost a full tank of gas, we were able to fill it back up for $32.48 for 30.7 liters of fuel at a fuel cost of $1.056/liter. At that fuel price, it would cost $58 to fill the Rogue’s 55-liter fuel tank.

2016 Nissan Altima – Fuel Economy Review

In this episode, we test drive the all new 2016 Nissan Altima. The Altima comes standard with a 2.5-liter engine capable of generating 179hp (@6000rpm) and 177lb-ft (@4000rpm), which is the model we tested. Also available is a 3.5-liter 270hp 6-cylinder that generates 270hp and 251lb-ft of torque.

Our test model was the well-equipped SL trim, with an impressive array of features. The 2.5-liter provided some good power and above average fuel economy. Our tests yielded 768km on tank of gas and gave us an impressive average fuel economy of 9.0L/100km.

After using up a half tank of gas, we were able to fill it back up for $37.82 at a fuel cost of $1.05/liter.

2016 Nissan Sentra – Fuel Economy Review

In this episode, we test drive the all new 2016 Nissan Sentra. With its standard CVT transmission and small engine, the Sentra might be one of the most fuel efficient compacts on North American roads.Our tester was equipped with a 1.8-liter engine capable of generating 130hp (@6000rpm) and 128lb-ft (@3,600rpm). While this is the only engine choice, a turbocharged Sentra is expected to enter the market sometime next year.

Our test model was the well-equipped SL trim, with an impressive array of features. The 1.8-liter was a decent performer and provided excellent fuel economy. Our test yielded 576km on tank of gas and gave us an average fuel economy of 6.9L/100km.

After using up a half tank of gas, we were able to fill it back up for $44.07at a fuel cost of $1.01/liter.
