In this episode, we test drive the all new 2017 Range Rover Diesel. The RR Dieselcomes standard with a 3.0-liter turbo engine capable of generating 254hp and 440lb-ft (@1,750rpm), which is the model we tested. From our experience, this just might be one of the most fuel efficient SUVsin theNorth American market.
It certainly helps that the diesel is available in the base model Range Rover, while other manufacturers may offer the diesel as an upgrade. Although it might not be as powerful as its more expensive V8 counterpart, the ample torque definitely delivers amazing performance and output. Our tests yielded 576km on tank of gas and gave us an impressive average fuel economy of 9.9L/100km.
After using up a half tank of fuel, we were able to fill it back up for $36.58at a fuel cost of $0.92/liter. Based on these numbers, a full tank should cost around $72.
