2020 Mazda CX-9 – Fuel Economy Review + Fill Up Costs

We try out the all new Mazda CX-9 to test out its fuel economy. Although it’s not the largest, the Mazda CX-9 might be one of the most fuel-efficient 7-passenger mid-size SUVs on the market, providing decent fuel economy in the city and on the highway (video below).

Expect to get 644 kilometers (400 miles) on a full tank of gas and 8.7 kilometers of driving on every liter of fuel. Filling up a full tank would cost $102.80 (CAD) in Toronto, Canada and $52.65 (USD) to fill up in Detroit, USA.

2016 Mazda MX-5 – Fuel Economy Review

We test out the all new Mazda MX-5. This sporty fun to drive roadster comes standard with a 155hp (@6000rpm) 4-cylinder engine across all trim levels.

Despite its agressive profile, the MX-5 was quite mild in terms of fuel consumption. We were able to achieve 7.5L/100km on average with an as-tested fuel range of 474km.

Expect to spend around $55 to fill up the tank at a cost of $1.24/liter. We filled up Premium fuel as recommended.
