In this episode, we test drive the all new 2017 KIA Sportage. For a compact sports utility, the Sportage offers a bold exterior design coupled with an elegant, stylish interior.
Our test model featured the upgraded 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine and an all-wheel drive system. Horsepower and torque is rated at 237hp and 260 lb-ft respectively (watch the video for further details). The Sportage is also offered with a base 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Our real-world fuel range as-tested is 534km on a tank of gas and we achieved an average fuel economy of 10.4L/100km (as shown). Watch the video below for the complete review.
After using up almost a full tank of gas, we were able to fill it back up for $34.23 for 31.7 liters of fuel at a fuel cost of $1.079/liter. At that fuel price, it would cost $66.89 to fill the Sportage’s 62-liter fuel tank.
